HOW TO SCHEDULE AN EVENT
AT FRANKLIN FIRST
UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
Every event must be placed on the church calendar using the
following procedure:

Blue Event Order
Form for events on our Central Campus or off site, or
·
Green
North Campus Land Use Request Form for events on North
Campus

Fill out the form completely. Be sure to
indicate any need for equipment, custodial service, room setup,
post card or phone tree reminders, and childcare. If you are
requesting childcare, be sure to read the childcare policy
carefully, make the request on the appropriate (pink) form:
Nursery & Childcare Request Form, and
allow the necessary lead-time.

Turn the appropriate form in to the church
office with plenty of lead-time (at least 2 weeks before the
event). Requests for space for your events are
brought to our staff meeting each Tuesday for approval. Many
times approval is routine. On occasion, however, adjustments
need to be made when there are multiple requests for the same
facilities. If you have questions regarding scheduling or
appropriate space for your activity, talk with someone in the
church office. A staff member will contact you with
approval or denial of your request.

Please do not publicize an event until you
have been notified that it has been approved.

Please Note: If there are any changes
in plans (time, place, date, cancellation, etc.) after an event
has been scheduled, be sure to contact someone in the church
office regarding the change. Otherwise incorrect information
may be published in the bulletin or newsletter or space may be
denied another group unnecessarily. If you discover that you
will not need childcare that you have requested, be sure to
inform the church office as soon as possible so as to be good
stewards of the church’s resources and nursery staff’s time.
