UMW - UNITED METHODIST WOMEN

PURPOSE OF UNITED METHODIST WOMEN:

The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

All women are invited to be a part of United Methodist Women at Franklin First United Methodist Church.  There are four circles of women can choose to be a part of.

  • The Lydia Circle meets on the third Tuesday evening of every month at 7:00 p.m.  The Circle meets in the homes of members.  For more information about this circle, contact Connie Turvey, 790-9369.

  • The Mary-Martha Circle meets on the second Sunday of every month in Room B-101.  The circle meets at 2:00 p.m.  For more information about this circle, contact Dot Ginn, 599-9805.

  • The Sewing Circle meets every Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the kitchen of the Historic Sanctuary building.  For more information about this circle, contact Barbara McLellan, 599-2546.

  • The Susanna Circle meets on the second Friday of every month from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in the Koinonia classroom.  For more information about this circle, contact Rebecca Neff, 302-3099.

Circles choose books and studies to read and discuss.
They participate in mission projects and services both locally and globally.

All four circles come together for mission studies, meetings,
and annual luncheons and get-togethers.
