Join us for the Welcome Home Summer Party for College Students and Young Adults on Thursday, May 31 at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Charles and Linda Stubblefield.  You are invited to join us for this awesome time of re-connecting with one another around great food, fun party games and stories aobut all the plans you’ve made for the summer.  It’s a build your own taco bar and make your own sundae dessert bar.

Join us for the 13th Annual Butterfly Release on Pentecost Sunday, May 27, at 10:10 a.m.  in the green space and Children’s Memorial Garden outside Sanctuary East.

This summer, you can dive in to VBS by helping us with supplies.  Here are the things we need:

Inexpensive, blue plastic tablecloths
white christmas lights
lots and lots of crepe streamers in blues and greens
large cardboard tube (like for fabric bolts) to  make a mast for the boat
white sheet for a sail
large inflatable pool toys in sea creatures (dolphin, turtle, whale)
cardboard sea creatures (like for bulletin boards or parties)
fishing line
wide masking tape
refrigerator boxes or other really big boxes

Franklin First Kids are serving God by collecting healthy snacks for the children attending Project Transformation this summer.  On the first three Sundays of May, please send into your child’s Sunday school class one or more of the following items:

• 100% fruit juice boxes/pouches
• Individual packs of crackers
• Individual packs of animal crackers
• Individual packs of pretzels
• Individual packs of trail mix
• Individual packs of raisins
• Granola bars

Thank you for your support and encouragement of kids helping kids!

Come celebrate the birth of the church and don’t forget your party gift!  On Sunday, May 27 in Fellowship Hall, we are celebrating Pentecost, the birth of the Christian church.  As a demonstration of our love for Jesus Christ, we ask each family to donate new or gently used Sport/Athletic Equipment for Project Transformation this summer.

Clean out your garages or buy something new.  Then, bring that item (unwrapped) on that Sunday to place at the foot of the cross in Fellowship Hall, and say a prayer that God’s love will be spread by your small act of faithfulness and generosity. You may do this as a family during Fellowship Time or have your child bring it with them to their Sunday school class.

Items requested are: Basketballs, volleyballs, soccer balls, footballs, tennis balls, playground/foursquare balls, whiffle balls, all kinds of Nerf balls, mesh ball bags, air pumps, jump ropes, hula hoops, Frisbees, biking gloves & helmets, plastic bats, bean bags, and traffic cones…or a gift card to buy new.

Children’s Sunday school teachers and shepherds, The Children’s Ministry Team wants to thank you for your service this year.   On Sunday, May 20^th from 9:30am-11am, inch your way on over to A-204 for some delicious treats and fellowship.  Your dedication to guiding God’s children is invaluable, and we appreciate all of you!
