Accessibility

The Accessible Congregation Committee strives to make Franklin First UMC a barrier-free church. We work to insure that our facilities and programs are available to everyone. Over the years we have helped to make available large print hymnals and bulletins and hearing devices for our sanctuary. We have helped with some small adaptations to make our facillities more convenient for the mobility impaired. The Accessible Congregation Committee has sponsored Disability Awareness services at church and Sunday School in order to educate our congregation about the contributions our differently-abled members bring to us. We are especially proud of our Special Friends program – volunteers who attend Sunday School with children and youth who need assistance to participate fully and safely.
