Prayer Ministries

“I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone.” – 1 Timothy 2:1-4

We are called to be a community of prayer. We know that God honors a praying people and we trust God to lead our church when we remain humble and seeking. There are many ways to become part of the prayer ministries at Franklin First UMC.

North Campus Prayer Walks

Every Wednesday and Saturday morning (weather permitting) members of our congregation will walk our new property (the North Campus) praying for ministries that will take place there for generations to come and the people who will be involved in those ministries. You are invited to join this ministry of prayer.

The entrance to North Campus is on Daniel McMahon Drive, which intersects Franklin Road just south of Mack Hatcher. We will meet at the circle drive in front of the big house.

We share in a brief devotion before we walking through this beautiful property and offering our prayers. While we can pray anywhere at any time., we encourage you to consider joining us when you can!

Monday – Saturday Prayer Teams

Monday-Saturday, 6:30 a.m. – 7:00 a.m., we gather to pray by reading scripture over individuals, our church, community, nation, military and Israel. We are perhaps at a point in history at which there has been no greater need for prayer, and our mission is to seek Divine power to answer the questions of this life. As we are individually touched by prayer, our church is strengthened. As our church is strengthened, we impact the community around us. As our community is impacted, our nation is renewed. As our nation is renewed, we influence world. If we can pray for you, please come or email Mike Bellini at mikebellini@yahoo.com. Or, if you would like to join in these prayers, we invite you to come anytime.

Sunday Prayer Teams

On Sunday mornings at 8:15 a.m., we meet in the Prayer Chapel of the Historic Sanctuaryfor a brief collective prayer. We then pray individually, for the worship services and for the people who will be coming to worship, in one of three areas: Third Floor Prayer Chapel, Historic Sanctuary Prayer Chapel, and walking the downtown campus.

Prayer Chain

We have a very active prayer chain where all requests are shared and people pray for each need. If you would like to be part of the Franklin First Prayer Chain Ministry please contact Carmen Greenwald in the church office, 615-794-2734.
