Congo

We also provide support and scholarships for seminary students in the Congo. In 2008 we were especially blessed to be able to send enough financial support to support one complete tuition plus a significant amount toward another one! The student assigned to our scholarship in 2009 is Clare Paidamonyo Katiyo, a 23 year-old from Zimbabwe studying Health Services Management. ‘Visit the Africa University website to learn more about the students we support.

David and Lori Persons, missionaries we support in the Congo, have website and blogspot documenting their journey.

Congo seminary struggles to renew land title . . .  A loan from Swiss United Methodists is helping a church-related university and mission station in the Democratic Republic of Congo in its urgent quest to renew its land title.  Church officials discovered this spring that the title for the Mulungwishi mission station had not been renewed since 1959. World Vision
We have also provided abundant support for hunger relief through World Vision and raised funds. Our youth participated with other youth around the world and fasted 30 hours along.
